This Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Candidate Got Deported In France Over Her Alleged Fake Passport

Samantha Lo, the Philippines’ bet for the Miss Grand International beauty pageant, got deported in France following the discovery that she was allegedly traveling with a fake passport.

According to a report, Samantha was held for 13 hours at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France as she was en route to Venezuela for the Miss Grand International beauty pageant which is scheduled to take place on October 25.

An unnamed source who requested anonymity told the Manila Bulletin, “French authorities say [Samantha] carried a fake passport.” French authorities also discovered that “the passport Samantha was carrying had been issued to a man,” the newspaper reported.

Samantha is currently back in the Philippines and a source said, “When Lo came back to Manila, she appeared [shocked].”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, ABS-CBN News reported that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said, “Based on an ongoing investigation, the DFA confirms that Ms. Lo has no record in the DFA passport database.”

As of this writing, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) has yet to issue a statement on the matter.

Samantha, who hails from Cebu, was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Grand International in June 2019.
