Behind The Scenes: KC Concepcion's March 2012 Cover Shoot

See exclusive outtakes of the brand new KC rocking daring swimwear--and a hot new 'do--in our summer issue!

At the shoot for Cosmo's March 2012 summer issue cover, one thing became clear to everyone there: KC Concepcion is a brand new woman. After the public drama that surrounded her toward the end of last year, she emerged a more positive, hopeful, and happy person who epitomizes what a Cosmo girl should be. Editorial director Myrza Sison says, "She has a whole new blissfully happy attitude that we wanted to capture. I think [that with] what she's learned about love and life so far, a lot of readers will be really inspired."

KC has changed a lot since her previous Cosmo covers (click on each word to see each of the covers). One of the most drastic changes--on the physical level, at least--is how she chopped off her luscious locks to sport a chic, carefree bob. "People usually think that when you cut your hair short, it's not sexy," remarks fashion director Ana Kalaw. "But when you see her in these shots and [see the way it] frames her face, you'll think, 'Yeah, short hair can still be sexy.'" For our shoot, hairstylist Celeste Tuviera--the woman responsible for KC's new cut and color--gave KC a relaxed and disheveled look that suited the laidback setting.
