On April 7, AC Bonifacio got the kind of TikTok notification that feels straight out of a fan fiction draft: J-Hope followed her. As one of the main dancers of BTS, J-Hope, a.k.a. Hobi, has an eye for talent, especially when it comes to dance. And if you've seen AC dance before, it feels less of a surprise seeing her on the K-idol's radar.

AC shared the moment on her Instagram Story, playfully captioning it with J-Hope's signature line, "IM UR HOPE UR MY HOPE IM JHOPE."

AC has been posting dance covers for years, consistently serving precision, power, and that undeniable star quality. So when fans noticed that J-Hope didn't just follow her but also liked multiple of her videos in one go (we love a supportive king), it felt like a full-circle moment.

If it wasn't enough fan service yet, J-Hope even plugged her online. He just reposted AC's dance cover of their track, "Hooligan." Naturally, AC shared the moment on her own socials, too, saying "THANK YOU PO."

But back in 2025, there was already a sign that this moment would eventually come. J-Hope actually commented on AC's TikTok dance cover of his solo song, "Killin' It Girl." Without words and only a flushed-face and fire emoji, it was enough to spark a mini Internet meltdown among fans who clocked the moment instantly. Fast forward to now, and that one comment has turned into an official follow.

ICYMI, the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition ex-housemate already had the similar interaction with another BTS member. Jungkook—a.k.a. the group's golden maknae known for his all-around talent—also followed her on March of this year, making AC officially 2/7 on the BTS follow list. At this rate? We're just waiting for the rest of the boys to hit that button.

The K-pop Stars Who Follow AC Bonifacio (So Far)

This BTS moment is undeniably huge, but it's not exactly new territory for AC. Over the years, she's caught the attention of several big names in both the global dance and Korean entertainment scene.

Back in 2021, international choreographer Kiel Tutin—the mind behind some of BLACKPINK's biggest hits like, "How You Like That," "Money," and "Kill This Love"—shared that he was "mind blown" by AC's cover of Lisa's "Money." He even reposted her video on his Instagram Stories, giving her a boost beyond her usual audience. She might not be mutuals with the girls just yet, but to be noticed by their mentor? That's definitely something!

AC has also crossed paths with rising K-pop idols through her international projects. In 2023, she starred in Perfect Girl, where she worked alongside Nancy Jewel McDonie of MOMOLAND, Siyoon of Billie, and Chaerin of Cherry Bullet, opening more doors for her in the Korean entertainment scene. Since then, she's stayed in touch, even becoming Instagram mutuals with Nancy and Chaerin.

So...can we expect a J-Hope x AC collab soon? 👀

AC has already shared the stage and screen with multiple artists, from full-blown performances to viral dance collabs. So naturally, the question now is: what if this BTS interaction turns into something more?

Is an AC x BTS dance collab next? From what we know, there's nothing in the works just yet! But we're also not not manifesting. 😉
