Camille Prats recently responded to comments about her weight.
On June 12, Saturday, the Mars host posted photos of herself on Facebook wearing a sleeveless dress, which showed her jawline and arms. "When there's good lighting..." she captioned her post.
The post drew mixed reactions from netizens, some expressing their admiration while others showed disapproval for the host and actress's drop in weight.
"Mas bagay [sa] inyo, idol, yung medyo may laman. Parang tumanda ka po (sorry sa word po)," said one netizen. "Pero idol pa rin po kita at basta healthy ka po. God bless [you], childhood crush."
"Mas bagay sa kanya yung medyo chubby kasi batang-bata siya tingnan at maganda," said another. "Parang tumanda siya, 'di bagay sa kanya. Balik na sa chubby look; bagay sa 'yo, promise."
Other netizens praised Camille for her current weight, telling her to not mind the criticisms.
"Don't think [about] what other people [are saying] to you," commented one netizen. "Just leave them alone. The important [thing] is [that] there's nothing wrong with you. And besides, you look so lovely. Stay [the same] and more power to you, Miss Camille Prats-Yambao. Good luck."
"People are irrational and insensitive," another netizen said. "It's not our business if Camille wishes to have [a] healthy lifestyle and [to] be fit. Mas gumanda pa siya ngayon at naging matured, mas bagay sa edad niya ngayon. Just keep it up, Camille. Just ignore other people saying you're too payat."
Camille addressed the reactions to her weight by leaving a comment on her Facebook post: "To those sending comments about my body, I am at my healthiest po," she wrote. "I know I cannot please all of you, but I don't see anything wrong with my body. As long as I am healthy and strong, oks na ako doon. Sa mga hindi natutuwa, pasensiya na po. I'm really happy where I am physically. And I hope to inspire more people to choose a healthier lifestyle. Love and light!!"
In a video on her YouTube channel in April 2021, Camille and her husband VJ Yambao talked about their fitness journey and how they decided to adopt healthier habits to strengthen their immune system when the pandemic struck.
"It took us almost a year to finally shed some pounds at talagang maging halata yung pagpayat or yung pagka-lose ng weight. It really took us a lot of time."
