You might not know it, but you may actually have a Rhett Eala creation in your closet. You might even be wearing one right now. If you've got a shirt with the Philippine map embroidered on it, you should know that it was actually Rhett who designed that. These shirts, under his My Pilipinas line for Collezione-C2, introduced a new fashion statement for Pinoys: that it's cool to love your country and wear it proud.

Aside from his significant contribution to local fashion, Rhett has also proven that he can stand the test of time when he celebrated his 20th year in the industry. To commemorate such a huge milestone, a grand fashion show dubbed Rhett Eala: Celebrating 20 Years was held on October 5, 2010, in Whitespace, Makati.

The event showcased Rhett Eala's latest creations, in partnership with Jewelmer (the Filipino-French company specializing in South Sea pearls) and retail brand Collezione-C2. The collaboration seemed perfect, as both brands shared Rhett Eala's nationalist fervor and confidence in the Pinoy's ability to create world-class clothing and accessories.

Celebrities, other fashion designers, Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj, and no less than President Noynoy Aquino (who sported Rhett's My Pilipinas shirts during his presidential campaign) attended the fashion show to applaud Rhett's success.
