In Part 2 of Karen Davila's special interview with Heart Evangelista and Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero, she touched on a subject that's quite ~controversial~: Heart's ex-boyfriend Jericho Rosales.
Karen asked Chiz if Heart would *hypothetically* work with Jericho again, would he allow her to do it?
"Here's a question for you," Karen directed at Chiz. "Halimbawa may pelikula, ang partner niya si Jericho. Papapyag ka?"
Chiz asked Heart, "Pinagusapan na ba natin 'yan?"
"Many times," she cooly replied.
"Many times? Ano sabi ko?"
Heart said, "'It's up to you.'"
Chiz went on to stress that "It's up to her. If it will help her, if it will make her grow…Hindi ako selosong tao."
"Hindi siya [seloso]," she agreed. "NR [no reaction] siya. Sobrang NR! Pero lately sensitive lang with time."
Chiz then added, "It has nothing to do with my level of confidence, it's more your or my level of feeling secure, which to a large extent she gave me."
Heart and Chiz have been happily married since 2015. But before Chiz came into her life, Heart her then-leading man Jericho were in a three-year whirlwind relationship that ended in 2008. Years after their split, Heart called him her "one true love" and said she absolutely had no regrets in her time with him. In her July 2012 cover story with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Heart reminisced about their time together:
"It's not sad because at least you met him, it's not sad because it was so great that you'll never, ever forget—you can still feel it to this day. The way I see it, I'm just happy I experienced it, 'cause not all people do. Yung talagang all-out? Wow, you and me against the world! We could live in a kubo, I don't care if we live in a carinderia, my God, magkamay tayo! It's the best life I ever had, and I will never forget it!"
Heart and Jericho actually ~reunited~ at an event back in December 2017 where they were snapped engaged in a conversation. Tim Yap, who posted the pic on his Insta, wrote of the former lovers, "Two old friends meet again at the Rimowa dinner." Heart also posted a group pic with all the attendees that night, which, yes, included Jericho and his wife Kim Jones.
