In February 2021, Marian had her first-ever theater role in the Tanghalang Ateneo production, password: 03d1pu5_R3x, where she plays a vice president. In an exclusive interview with Summit Media, Marian revealed how the theater group actually approached Dingdong to get in touch with her.
In August 2021, Dingdong and Marian confirmed that they would star together again in a new project very soon. Dingdong said fans could expect something new, but kept mum about the details.
Earlier in September 2021, Marian was ~rumored~ to be playing the Filipino mom of South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho in his potential debut movie, Sad Tropics. In the film, the Start-Up and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star portrays a half-South Korean, half-Filipino man who aspires to be a boxer. As per Seon Ho's agency, SALT Entertainment, Seon Ho is "positively reviewing the casting offer."
