It's been weeks since American Murder: The Family Next Door dropped on Netflix, but the true-crime documentary is still on the streaming site's most-watched list. It told the horrifying story of Chris Watts, who murdered his pregnant wife Shannan Watts and their two daughters in 2018 because he wanted a "new life" with his mistress Nichol Kessinger. The docu was told through police footage, home videos, and text messages—instead of interviews—which made the viewing experience all the more "real."
