In an interview with Boy Abunda, Enrique talked about their plans as a couple, and why they've been starting new businesses left and right.
Boy: "I've been seeing that ring. Are you guys engaged?"
Enrique: "Oh, the ring? No (laughs). No, not yet, Tito Boy."
Boy: "Are you seriously talking about settling down? Are you seriously talking about getting married?"
Enrique: "Yeah, of course. Of course, you know, we want to take it step by step. So that's why we're getting into business muna."
"We're obviously thinking about the future but we have to concentrate on now."
Enrique and Liza own an ethyl alcohol and sanitizers business. Liza also owns a nail salon, while Enrique and his mom Bambi Gil have been in the real estate biz since around 2011.
Enrique also mentioned in the interview that he and Liza are actually trying to establish their own holding company, otherwise known as a "parent business entity."
"Actually, we're just trying to create our own holding company. So sa lahat ng mga businesses na papasukin namin, we'll have our own holding company so doon na lahat and for our taxes and everything."
Boy Abunda asked Enrique what he thinks about what Daniel Padilla said that "the right age to get married is somewhere [around] 30." While Enrique agrees, he also said that he doesn't think there's a right time to tie the knot.
Boy went on to ask Enrique about any discussion of settling down with Liza. Turns out, the topic just pops up every now and then in their conversations!
"Oh, you know, we talk about it sometimes. You know, just out of nowhere, 'What do you think about getting married or stuff like this?' But it's so hard kasi right now, there's so much on our plate right now. You know, we want to build our alcohol business, we're getting into three more businesses that [are] from totally different fields. So we just want to make sure that when we have our own family, we're well-off. Not super well-off, but we're comfortable. Basta we can live comfortably, we're fine."
So where do they dream of having their wedding?
Boy: "DJ and Kath (Bernardo) were saying that if they're getting married one day, sometime in the future, gusto daw nila [sa] beach. Kayo? Meron kayong preference? Meron kayong iniisip ni Liza?"
Enrique: "Well, that's the thing, you know. I mean, 'Paradise is where the beach is,' that's what I say. I remember a fan telling us—we were doing a show in Texas, I think, or somewhere—and sinabi niya na, 'Please, talaga,' sa may elevator, 'Please,' na, 'Kapag ikakasal kayo, dapat talaga sa church. Kasi kung hindi, magagalit talaga si Lord.' 'Okay, sige, we'll remember that.' So I guess we need to do two weddings, now. (laughs)."
OMG! So nakakakilig, you guys!
