We've got a new series on our radar and it's a good old romantic comedy, no less. But what makes this one extra special is that it's actually a Girls Love (GL) drama. Got you curious, no? Well, here's a rundown of all you need to know about the WeTV Original, BetCin!
What's the plot of BetCin?
The eight-episode series follows social media superstar couple Beth and Cindy (hence, BetCin). But as we all know, our real lives and relationships are nowhere near the filtered posts we share online—just like Beth and Cindy's. Things shake up their already fragile relationship when they enter a contest for the "most-loved social media sweethearts" where they "need to act convincing enough to have a shot at the large cash prize at the end."
Who's part of the BetCin cast?
BetCin is headlined by Kylie Padilla as Beth and Andrea Torres as Cindy. The two GMA-7 stars shot the entire series in an eight-day lock-in taping where they formed a close bond with each other and with the production staff as well. After their shooting ended, both leads were over-the-moon by the experience with Andrea calling it one of her "most unforgettable projects ever." She continued, "It feels like a SOLID family. The sepanx is real, OMG. A million thank you's to everyone. It was an absolute pleasure and honor to be your Cindy."
Andrea went on to thank her very first leading lady and called her "Babe": "Babe, @kylienicolepadilla, who held my hand so tight all throughout this journey. We worked as a team in all our scenes. You'll always be special to me."
Kylie also gushed about the show and her experience, and said, "Met so many good [and] interesting people on this set, and I made friends. I'm not exaggerating when I say I will be sad to hear the last 'pack up!' from direk @shugopacio today. I LOVE THIS TEAM, THE MATERIAL, AND THE PROCESS OF MAKING THIS SERIES."

BetCin will premiere on the streaming platform, WeTV, on October 15! ICYDK, WeTV has a variety of subscription plans: P59 (monthly), P159 (quarterly), P599 (annual), and P149 (one-month pass).
