Hallyuween 2022 is just around the corner! Trust us, it will be so much fun at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena on October 29. As the ~*grandest*~ K-pop event of the year (and the first K-pop Halloween party), expect pre-concert activities to hype you up, lots of prizes for the attendees, your fellow Hallyu fans dressed up as their favorite characters, and of course, epic performances from all the artists. Wondering who they are?
Here are fast facts about the performers of Hallyuween 2022:
1. CL
GZBs please all rise: The baddest female in the K-pop industry is returning to Manila! CL started as the leader of the iconic girl group 2NE1 before she pursued a solo career. The K-pop queen is not just known as a singer, rapper, and songwriter—she also has that incomparable charisma as she sets the stage on fire. We can't wait to witness it this Saturday!
2. Epik High
Yup, the legendary trio is part of the lineup! Second-gen K-pop stans definitely know Epik High but for those who are new to the fandom, they're a hip-hop group formed by Tablo, DJ Tukutz, and Mithra Jin. They've been in the industry since 2003 and have received various awards for their artistry. BRB, listening to all of their songs in time for Hallyuween 2022 (my fave is "Don't Hate Me")!
3. Gaho x KAVE
Remember the K-drama OSTs "Start Over" (Itaewon Class) and "Running" (Start Up) which motivated you to reach for your dreams? They are tracks sung by Gaho and he *might* just perform them at Hallyuween 2022 along with his band, KAVE! We just know it's going to be a beautiful night once we hear them sing these live. 4. PENTAGON
A K-pop boy group with a diverse discography, PENTAGON made its debut in 2016. You might know them for the chart topper (with an equally viral choreography) "Shine" but there's more to them than this hit song! Their b-sides will make you smile and you'll think about them 24/7 once you start adding their songs to your playlist. We described some of them which you can read here.
5. KARD
Is it just me or do you also believe that KARD keeps on releasing bops after bops that you can't stop listening to? Apart from that, you'll love their unique concept as they're a co-ed (or mixed gender) group. Composed of members Somin, Jiwoo, J.Seph, and BM, get ready to sing along to "Oh Na Na" (and more) in just a few days!
6. BGYO
World-class talent coming through! BGYO is the only P-pop group in the Hallyuween lineup and they're known as the aces in the industry. The quintet's name stands for "Becoming the change, Going further, You and I, Originally Filipino," and they're undoubtedly on the rise! They're like a magnet that will pull you in.
7. DJ Soda
Hwang So Hee, a.k.a DJ Soda, is a festival favorite! She has headlined some of the biggest music events in Asia with her exceptional mixing and scratching skills. Apart from being a DJ, she's also known for bringing style to the stage with her fashion.
Update: Make way for the queens! Some of your faves are special guests at Hallyuween 2022—including Drag Race Philippines' Minty Fresh, Lady Morgana, and Lady Gagita.
