High School Musical couple Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu will be working together again! This time, it's for a movie titled A Christmas Dance Reunion. And like in the hit Disney franchise, Monique and Corbin will be on-screen pairs too.
According to Deadline, A Christmas Dance Reunion tells the story of Lucy Mortimer (played by Monique), a successful lawyer, who attends the last winter party of a resort that's about to close its doors for good. She is reunited with the resort owner's nephew Barrett Brewster (played by Corbin), who used to be her dance partner at the resort's Christmas dance parties. Both of them must decide if they'll become more than just dance partners.
On May 20, 2021, Monique and Corbin shared the exciting news on their social media accounts.
"This has been the hardest secret to keep!!!" Monique writes on Instagram. "Starring in a @lifetimetv Christmas movie has always been a dream of mine, but never in a million years did I think I'd get to share the screen with one of my favorite people!!! @corbinbleu and I are SO excited to join the #ItsAWonderfulLifetime this winter in #AChristmasDanceReunion."
On Twitter, Monique even posted a throwback photo of her and Corbin from their HSM days. It's the most kilig "How it started vs. How it's going" meme we've seen.
Corbin retweeted Monique's status and also shared his feelings about the new project. "I can't tell you how amazing it was to work with (and dance with) @gimmemotalk again. I know you all are going to love #AChristmasDanceReunion! Who's excited? @lifetimetv"
A Christmas Dance Reunion will be released later this year.
