On July 18, 2020, Iya Villania and Drew Arellano welcomed their third child, Alana Lauren V. Arellano. What some of you may not know, however, is that they found out it was a baby girl just a few hours before the rest of the world. Back in January 2020, the two announced the happy news through their vlog, Life With The Arellanos. Iya said, "Let's not find out the gender until I deliver."
Before she gave birth to baby Alana, Iya admitted to feeling scared about the possibility of having a girl: "I'm from a family of girls, three girls kami. Ako iyong bunso and, I guess, that's why I'm not so keen." Later on, Iya assured, "Kahit boy, kahit girl, we're gonna love either."
In a new vlog, the actress-host takes us through her most recent labor experience. Her contractions started at 3:40 a.m. on July 18 and three hours later, she was done. When she found out it was a girl, Iya was surprised: "Oh my gosh, it's a girl! I thought it was a boy. I can't believe I have a girl."
Drew wasn't in the delivery suite when Iya gave birth, but after the initial shock of finding out he has a daughter, he said, "I knew it!" Perhaps the cutest moment in the entire vlog, however, is when kuya Primo and kuya Leon meet their sister.
The two quietly greeted Alana, with Primo giving her a sweet kiss on the forehead. Leon was a little overwhelmed (aww!) but we know he's going to be the best kuya. When Alana started crying, Primo guessed she was probably hungry so he went and got her a cup of milk. OMG. TEARS.
