The surprise announcement of James Reid's pairing with MOMOLAND's Nancy naturally shook the local entertainment industry in October. While the premise of their new ABS-CBN series, titled Soulmate Project, is still kept under wraps, the show's director and writer Antoinette Jadaone disclosed ~major deets~ about it, including the fact that it'll be patterned after US and Korean dramas! Here's what you need to know about the much-hyped-about series:
Soulmate Project is NOT a teleserye.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News, Antoinette revealed that Soulmate Project should be identified as a series and not a teleserye. "Hindi siya teleserye. It's a series because it's 13 episodes. It's not like how we do teleseryes na you do it per script every day, with a weekly script," she said.
There's no exact airing date yet.
BUT the production of the series will start in 2020! Once the show airs, all episodes would have been shot or "canned," according to Antoinette.
Antoinette is still finishing the script of Soulmate Project.
"It's more my kind of process. I write the whole series na tapos na, unlike in teleseryes na hindi mo alam kung kailan siya matatapos."
"There is more control sa kung ano ang mangyayari sa bawat character, sa story. But also, mas mahirap siya, kasi I realize it's not the same as writing a film script, a screenplay. It's different, it's harder to write a series pala. Pero since andiyan na, gagalingan ko na lang!"
