Sad news for fans of Jessi and her work with her record label, P NATION: They're officially parting ways. ICYDK, P NATION was founded in 2018 by PSY and it currently manages South Korean artists such as Hyuna, Dawn, Crush, Heize, Penomeco, Swings, and TNX.
On July 6, P NATION released a statement about the matter, confirming that Jessi's contract with them had recently expired and that she was the very first artist who had signed with them in 2019.
"We will continue to cheer on Jessi’s future path as an artist, and we will continuously support her diverse activities. We thank the many fans who cherish Jessi, and we ask that you continue to send warm encouragement and support. Thank you."
Addressing rumors surrounding her departure, Jessi also released a statement on IG, saying, "I understand people can make assumptions right now based on my current situation. But the truth shall reveal itself in a matter of time."
"Respectfully, please give me time to collect my thoughts and breathe a bit (I haven't rested since 2005). But one thing for sure is that this GIRL is NOT RETIRING. Thank you Jebbies for your unconditional love and support. And lastly, love you P NATION for life."
Whew! Based on Jessi's post, it seems there's no bad blood between her and the label. We wish her all the best!
