John Lloyd Cruz Denies Writing A Facebook Letter To Joshua Garcia

March 7, 2021 Update: In a report by PEP, John Lloyd Cruz said he doesn't have any public social media accounts and that the quotes were not from him. The Facebook account pretending to be John Lloyd (which had a "verified" checkmark from FB)  has since been deleted. 


Many of us were a complete wreck after seeing Moira Dela Torre's "Paubaya" music video, which includes a gutting closure scene between exes Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.

It's easy to interpret the dialogue between Julia and Joshua as the closure they both needed from each other—especially with their stellar performance plus the fact they had written the script together. Although Moira recently shared that the closure was for her 2020 album Patawadthat hasn't stopped any of us from feeling for JoshLia—hurting for Joshua, who plays the injured party in the music video, and understanding where Julia’s character is coming from.

The story of the "Paubaya" music video seems to have struck actor John Lloyd Cruz, too. The other day, JLC took to Facebook to pen an open letter for Joshua. He wrote, "One day everything will fall into place just the way it should be. So until then, don't focus too much on the confusion. Just focus on improvement and betterment. Create a great life for yourself." He then tagged Joshua and capped his post with a photo of them side by side.

John Lloyd recently ended his showbiz hiatus, which began in 2017, shortly after dating actress Ellen Adarna. JLC and Ellen reportedly called it quits in August 2019, but they’re raising their son Elias together. Ellen, who just confirmed that she's seeing Derek Ramsay, revealed to that she and JLC "weren't compatible," that’s why they broke up.

In April 2020, word was out that John Lloyd was going to star in a new film, titled No Goodbyes, with Bea Alonzo. As of December 2020, the reunion project is slated to show this year, 2021!
