Justin Bieber just came out with some very big news on his Instagram account on January 9.
The singer revealed that he's actually been suffering from Lyme Disease. He was also diagnosed with chronic mono.
"While a lot of people kept saying 'Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth, etc.,' they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but [I also] had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health," Justin said in his post.
"These things will be explained further in a documentary series I'm putting on YouTube shortly. You can learn all that I've been battling and OVERCOMING!! It's been a rough couple years, but [I've been] getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever."
Justin's post featured screenshots of reports from an entertainment news website, which reveals how he will talk more about battling Lyme disease and depression in his upcoming documentary, Justin Bieber: Seasons.
Lyme disease is caused by a bite from infected black-legged ticks, causing symptoms such as headaches, fever, rashes, and fatigue. If untreated, it can spread to the nervous system, the heart, and joints.
On the other hand, Mono, or Mononucleosis, is caused by a virus which can be transmitted through saliva. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, sore throat, headaches, and rashes.
Justin and Hailey Baldwin's star-studded wedding ceremony took place in October 2019. In the same month, Justin's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez released the song "Lose You To Love Me," which fans are convinced to be a "Justin Bieber breakup song," about their on-again-off-again relationship. They were dating right before Justin got "whirlwind engaged" and married to Hailey.
Justin recently released a new single, "Yummy," in early January 2020.
