Katrina Halili And Kris Lawrence Confirm They're Back Together After More Than A Decade

Second chances can be seriously sweet—just ask Kris Lawrence and Katrina Halili. After months of reconciliation rumors, a relationship reset, and a rekindled courtship, the former couple has officially confirmed they're back together.

On September 27, Kris and Katrina let their daughter Katie help break the news in Katrina's vlog entitled, "IT'S OFFICIAL!!?? 💖" The two playfully went back and forth over who would make the announcement before Katie, who was hiding under a blanket, shouted, "Sila na po!"

When Katrina asked when they officially got back together, Katie revealed it was on September 13, at midnight. Kris and Katrina eventually joined in, shouting, "Kami na!" while Katie shared how happy she was about their reunion.

In the vlog, Katrina asked Kris, "So bakit gusto mong sagutin ka? Bakit ka muna nanliligaw? Why?

Kris answered confidently: "Because I love you."

He continues to explain, saying, "Di kita pine-pressure na kailangan mo. That's gonna come from you—when you feel safe, when you feel the trust, when you feel the respect, when you finally feel it's time that you're ready for it. Maraming aspects yun pag sinabi mong, 'I'm ready for it.'"

The following day, Kris shared a sweet snap of the two, captioned "KAMI NA," making their relationship IG official, too. Their reunion comes after Kris began courting Katrina again in June.

Kris kept his caption characteristically candid, making it clear that while they're together again, they're taking this fresh chapter at their own pace. "New chapter. I told you I gotchu, and I meant that. No need to rush anything. One step at a time, enjoying where this takes us. All I know is I'm happy. KAMI NA bahala where this new chapter takes us."

And while the confirmation might feel like a cute couple surprise, Kris and Katrina's comeback has actually been carefully coming together for months.

For the longtime Kris-and-Katrina followers, this isn't exactly a brand-new love story. It's a romantic return more than a decade in the making.

Kris and Katrina started dating around 2008, welcomed their daughter Katie in 2012, and eventually separated in 2014 after around five years together. As Cosmo previously reported, Katrina later spoke about timing, maturity, and financial stability being factors in their breakup.

Romance may have paused, but parenting remained their permanent priority. The former couple eventually settled into a co-parenting setup centered on Katie, with Kris previously sharing that whatever was best for their daughter would guide their decisions.

Then came 2026—and the reconciliation clues started coming quickly.

In February, Kris appeared in Katrina's "Lie Detector Test" vlog and revealed that he was open to rekindling their relationship someday, depending on the circumstances. The possibility felt even more real in April, when the pair took a family trip to El Nido, Palawan.

And let's just say those beach posts weren't exactly helping us keep our kilig contained.

Katrina teased the trip as a "reset," while Kris posted photos of them together, an accidental matching-outfit moment, and a reel whose romantic energy quickly had fans—and even their celebrity friends—wondering whether something was brewing between the former flames.

But the two weren't rushing their romantic reset. Their reconnection first seemed rooted in family, forgiveness, and friendship.

By June, though, their reconnection had become something more: Kris confirmed that he was courting Katrina again and was serious about making the most of a possible second chance. He also shared that their decisions remained centered on Katie, noting the positive difference their happier dynamic had made in their daughter's life.

Katrina, meanwhile, got candid about her own healing. In a July vlog, she said she had forgiven Kris and had become comfortable around him again—a far cry from the years when, by her own account, she would actively avoid him.
