LAPILLUS' half-Filipino member Chanty Videla will sit out some of the group's scheduled activities due to high fever.
On July 17, Chanty's agency, MLD Entertainment, released a statement, saying, "Starting from the evening of July 16, Lapillus member Chanty developed a high fever and she went to the hospital to be diagnosed. In accordance with the doctor’s opinion that she needs absolute rest and stability, Chanty will be focusing entirely on recovering her health."
The whole group cancelled their appearance at Inkigayo recorded that same day.
"We are informing you that Chanty and Lapillus will not be participating in today’s broadcast of SBS’ Inkigayo as they were scheduled to do," MLD Entertainment added.
Lastly, the agency shared their plans for LAPILLUS' upcoming activities: "We will come to a decision about future participation in scheduled activities based on the progress of Chanty’s recovery. We apologize to the fans for giving you cause for concern, and we will do our utmost so that all the Lapillus members are able to promote in good health."
On July 18, the group appeared as guests on Arirang Radio's Super K-pop without Chanty.
LAPILLUS is a six-member rookie girl group under MLD Entertainment. They debuted in June 2022 with the album Hit Ya!
We wish Chanty a speedy recovery.
