In an interview with TV Patrol, The Voice coach Lea Salonga said that they were so shocked when the news broke out that the pair had tied the knot. "I am shocked. None of us knew. None of us on the show, none of us from the network. But I’m happy. Happy for her."
"To be able to pull it off, that’s a feat. That is a crowning achievement for both of them. Na talagang nai-sikreto nila. They knew who to trust. This guy really loves her."
Sarah and Matteo, who have been together for almost seven years, held their private wedding on February 20, 2020 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. However, the happy event became the subject of controversy when one of Sarah’s bodyguards accused Matteo of punching him for supposedly sharing the details of the wedding to Mommy Divine, Sarah's mother. Mommy Divine showed up at the ceremony and asked to talk to Sarah, but it is unconfirmed yet if she was able to chat with her.
Matteo, on the other hand, denied that he hit anyone. The security personnel also didn’t push through in filing a complaint against him.
Anyway, congratulations again to these two!
