Liza Soberano is back home.
Entertainment reporter MJ Felipe took to Twitter to share footage of Liza greeting fans as she arrived at the airport.
"LOOK: Fans with signs and flowers greeted Liza Soberano upon her arrival," said MJ in his tweet. "Some fans shouted 'Hopie na-miss ka namin!'"
In another tweet, MJ shared how Liza was advised by her doctors to take two extra months of recovery and refrain from playing sports or strenuous physical activity. In September, she'll be co-starring in a new soap with Enrique Gil.
"Hopie" was a trending topic on Twitter, showing fans' excitement upon Liza's arrival. Liza's real name is Hope Elizabeth Soberano.
Liza spent two and a half months in the U.S. to undergo surgeries for her fractured index finger. She suffered the injury while filming for the fantaserye Bagani in 2018. In April 2019, Liza decided to withdraw from her role as Darna so she can fully recover from the injury.
In May 2019, Liza flew to the U.S. to undergo her third surgery but due to a bone infection had to extend her stay for more surgery. Earlier this July, she revealed that her index finger will never function the same way again.
Last week, she shared photos of herself post-operation, with a bandaged hand. With her in the photos was Enrique, who has with her the entire time in the U.S. Aww.
Welcome home, Liza!
