Lorin Gutierrez is carving a name for herself in the Filipino showbiz industry as Viva Artists Agency announced that the 17-year-old has officially joined the agency’s roster of artists.
In a Facebook live event held on May 18, Lorin expressed her excitement in entering showbiz and said, “I can’t wait to start this new journey and [a] new chapter of my life. Parang buong buhay ko, I’ve been waiting [for] when is the right time to finally do this and follow in my family’s footsteps.”
Coming from a family of actors and actresses, Lorin said that the Gutierrez family has never tried to rush or pressure her. She stated that she is doing everything at her own pace and expressed her excitement in putting all of her efforts into her showbiz career.
Lorin is entering college soon but said she plans to finish her education while pursuing a career as an actress. She shared that in high school, she would join school plays and take drama classes. “I’ve always had a passion for acting. It was genuinely something that I enjoyed and did during my free time.”
Wanting to pursue multiple passions, she said, “As long as I’m disciplined, as long as I make time, and as long as I work hard, kaya ko i-balance both.”
Lorin grew up in the limelight and has appeared on the reality show It Takes GUTZ To Be A Gutierrez. She shared: “Growing up in the public eye and having a mom who’s in the industry, at times it was definitely hard. But I look back on it with so much gratefulness and gratitude for everything that my family has done for me. Just because I’m doing my own career now, I still don’t want to stray away or disconnect from my family. They will always be my rock and safe place, I’m super grateful to all of them, especially my mom.”
Ruffa Gutierrez showed support for her eldest daughter and posted a photo on Instagram and wrote, “It’s Lorin’s time to shine! She’s ready for the new opportunities coming her way.”
