Lovi Poe is continuously proving that Filipino talent deserves a place on the international stage. After taking on notable projects such as the British mystery thriller My Sister's Bones and The Chelsea Cowboy, the actress is set to appear in another international production: the thriller film Ignition.
This time, she will star alongside Hollywood star Maisie Williams, who is best known for her role in the fantasy series Game of Thrones.
Lovi confirmed her participation in the project through an Instagram post, where she shared a report from Variety featuring her name in the headline. The actress also expressed her excitement and gratitude for being part of the film.
"So excited to finally share this film I've been working on ✨ IGNITION's first look is out now—being introduced at Cannes this May. Can't wait ♥️," she wrote.
"Oh, and by the way…the North remembers ❄️😉 Had to bring a little Game of Thrones energy 💁🏽♀️," she added.

According to the report, the upcoming thriller follows a young woman who becomes entangled in a terrorist plot, setting the stage for a gripping and suspense-filled story. The film is scheduled to be introduced at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this May.
The report also mentioned Rory Kinnear, who starred in the political drama series The Diplomat, is also part of the cast. Adding another meaningful connection to the project, one of the film’s executive producers is Montgomery Blencowe, Lovi's husband.
Following the announcement, several Filipino celebrities and industry personalities flooded Lovi's comments section with congratulatory messages and words of support. Among those who celebrated the actress's latest milestone were Iza Calzado, Max Collins, and Isabel Oli.
