ICYDK, the thriller-dark comedy-mystery is nominated for *six* Oscars: Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Film Editing. Wow. It's making history as the first Asian film to be nominated in the major category of the Academy Awards, according to Variety.
Other films vying for the Best Picture Oscar are Little Women, Marriage Story, Joker, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, 1917, Ford V Ferrari, The Irishman, and Jojo Rabbit.
Parasite is about two families, deception, and inequality. It won the Golden Globe for Foreign Language Film and the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
