The annual Forbes "30 Under 30 Asia" List has been released, and it highlights 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers who are making a difference in the world! They were selected based on "leadership, impact, success, and entrepreneurial spirit."
So Dam's profile highlights her role as Jessica in the award-winning film Parasite (2019), which became the first-ever foreign language film to win the best picture award at the Academy Awards. The film also introduced us to her most famous line: "Jessica, Only Child, Illinois, Chicago."
Meanwhile, TWICE is described as one of the most popular K-pop girl groups in recent years.
The group's Forbes profile reads: "In 2019, the nine-member group, which includes three from Japan and one from Taiwan, was named Best Female Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Also in 2019, TWICE scored their second No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart with 'Feel Special,' which has 188 million views on YouTube. One of their most popular songs is 'TT,' which has over 507 million views on YouTube since its release in 2016."
In the Philippines, five young Filipinos also made it to the list: Founder and CEO of PayMongo, Francis Plaza, Cacao Project founder Louise Emmanuelle Mabulo, gymnast Carlos Yulo, skateboarder Margielyn Didal, and filmmaker, photographer, and digital artist Breech Asher Harani.
