During quarantine, we're sure TV shows and K-dramas were the only constant company for many of us. While you'll never run out of options for TV shows on Netflix (literally, and there's now actually a term for it), we've rounded up a few TV series for the twentysomethings looking for something entertaining—but somehow reminiscent—of your real-life woes.

Here's a list of TV shows to watch in your twenties:

1. The Bold Type

If you've ever dreamed of working in the publishing industry, you'll find The Bold Type highly relatable and insightful, especially with its three protagonists who carry very different job titles in a high-profile fashion magazine but somehow end up as office and real-world besties. The series is actually inspired by Joanna Coles, former editor in chief of Cosmopolitan. Other than that, it's also a story of three passionate and spirited twentysomethings working through the ups and downs of their career paths, romantic pursuits, and life in general.

2. Emily In Paris

The show brings forth a twenty-something go-getter who received a career opportunity to fly to Paris and lend an American voice to a French marketing company. While her situation may seem like a dream that's too good to be true for other twenty-somethings in real life, it also has strands of relatability for adulting newcomers leaving their comfort zone to enter the big leagues with nothing but big ideas and a can-do attitude.

3. Friends

Friends is a sitcom about, well, a group of friends who work in different fields but live in the same city. While the characters (and the actors that play them) may be a bit older, the adventures they have together is a gentle reminder for the generation to live life, take risks, and learn new things with your own set of friends.

4. Hello, My Twenties!

Our college friends go through the best and worst moments of our lives with us, and that's what these group of students-slash-roommates do with each other. Despite pursuing different college majors, these roomies all band together to face the challenges of adulthood head-on.

5. Gilmore Girls

In Gilmore Girls, there's a strong, independent, and innately flawed (but totally relatable) woman to look up to for every age group. For the younger ones, that would be Rory Gilmore. While Rory's character arc isn't impressive for some, particularly in the romance department (you'll have to watch all seven seasons to judge for yourself), there's a thing or two to learn from her admirable loyalty to her studies and her determination to make her dream of becoming a journalist a reality.
