Kim Soo Hyun will be making his small-screen comeback after five years, so yes, this is A SUPER BIG DEAL! The drama, called It's Okay To Not Be Okay, will tell the story of a community health worker (Soo Hyun) who doesn't care for romance and a storybook writer (Seo Ye Ji) who has never known love!
I'm sure we're all curious about Seo Ye Ji, the lucky girl who gets to star alongside Soo Hyun, so here's what you need to know about the 30-year-old actress:
Where have we seen Seo Ye Ji before?
Ye Ji played the lead roles in Lawless Lawyer (2018), Save Me (2017), and Moorim School (2016). You probably recognize her from Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016), where she played the role of Princess Sook-myung. She even had a kissing scene with Park Seo Joon!
She is an honorary police officer.
Soompi reports that after her stint in the series Lawless Lawyer, Ye Ji was awarded the rank of honorary constable and received a letter of appointment in December 2018.
Speaking about her character in the series, Ye Ji said in an interview with Elle: "There's a playfulness I didn't have before that keeps igniting within me, so I don't think I've managed to get out of character yet. I think I'm the type of person who lives my life by matching the character [I'm playing]."
Ye Ji recently signed under the same management company as Soo Hyun.
In January 2020, Soo Hyun, Ye Ji, and actress Kim Sae Ron signed with Gold Medalist, a newly-formed agency.
She recently deactivated her Instagram account.
According to tweets from fans, Ye Ji is speculated to have taken down her account on February 26, 2020. While we don't know the reason why she's laying low from social media, we sincerely hope she's doing okay!
