As fans eagerly await a formal date announcement of his fan meet in Manila, it's the perfect time to get acquainted (or reacquainted) with the super-talented actor and TV host's body of work.

Wonderful Days (2014)

Bo Gum shot to fame in 2013 with his first major role in SBS' family drama, Wonderful Mama. He quickly followed it up with the melodrama, Wonderful Days, which centers on Dong Suk, a distant and aloof prosecutor who is forced to relocate back to his hometown and reconnect with his estranged family. Bo Gum plays the younger version of Dong Suk in this series.

Naeil's Cantabile (2014)

That same year, Bo Gum starred in the series, Naeil's Cantabile, which is based on the popular Japanese manga, Nodame Cantabile. Bo Gum plays Yoo Jin, a talented cellist who dreams of becoming a world-renowned conductor. While studying in a prestigious music school, Yoo Jin clashes with his classmate, the free-spirited piano prodigy Nae Il (Shim Eun Kyung).

The Admiral: Roaring Currents (2014)

2014 proved to be a busy year for Bo Gum, as he also joined the stellar ensemble cast in the war movie, The Admiral: Roaring Currents, which revolves around the historical battle of Myeongnyang between the Korean and Japanese navy in 1597. Upon its release, the film was declared as the "most-watched and highest-grossing" film of all time in South Korea.

Coin Locker Girl (2015)

Coin Locker Girl mainly centers around Il Young (Kim Go Eun), whose story begins as a baby who is abandoned in a coin locker. She eventually grows up to be a tough and street-smart girl working as a debt collector for a loan shark and head of an organ trafficking ring. One day, she is tasked to collect debt from Bo Gum's character, Suk Hyun, the kind son of a man who owes them a huge amount of money. Things get complicated when she begins to fall for Suk Hyun, but is ordered to kill him after his father disappears to avoid paying his debt.

The critically acclaimed movie was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Bo Gum was even nominated as Best New Actor at the Baeksang Art Awards. 

Reply 1988 (2015)

The third installment of the popular Reply drama series revolves around five childhood friends living in a small town in Seoul. The story is set in 1988 but follows the friends and their families' complicated lives until the early '90s. Bo Gum plays Choi Taek, a wealthy and brilliant boy whose biggest struggle in life is winning baduk matches. The role catapulted Bo Gum to fame, winning him multiple acting awards.

Hello Monster (2015)

That same year, Bo Gum surprised audiences with his impressive acting skills in the dark crime drama, Hello Monster (also known as I Remember You). The story is about a genius criminal profiler (Seo In Guk) who gets entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an elusive serial killer.

Love In The Moonlight (2016)

One of Bo Gum's biggest and most beloved projects to date is this period romantic drama where he portrays a young and mischievous Crown Prince who falls for Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung), a young woman pretending to be a male eunuch living in the palace. The acclaimed drama was a hit all across Asia, cementing Bo Gum as a household name and versatile leading man.

Encounter (2018 to 2019)

After a two-year acting hiatus, Bo Gum returned to the small screen with Encounter alongside renowned actress Song Hye Kyo. This show puts a twist to the K-drama trope of wealthy male CEO-meets-young and free-spirited woman. This time, Hye Kyo plays the filthy rich and divorced CEO, while Bo Gum is a young and ordinary man who seems content to live a normal life.
