Sue Ramirez's new film, Sunshine Family, tells the story of a Filipino family who's been living in Korea for five years and decide to go back to the Philippines. Their plans get delayed when they are involved in a hit-and-run accident!
Sunshine Family, which hits theaters on June 5, is actually based on the award-winning 1992 Japanese film, The Hit-And-Run Family. It's produced by Spring Films and Filmline Productions and also stars Nonie and Shamaine Buencamino and Marco Masa.
In November 2018, Sue (22) shared behind the scenes photos of her and her new leading man, K-pop star and Blanc 7 member, Shinwoo (28). The teaser trailer shows us Shinwoo in a police officer's uniform + a kissing scene between him and Sue! OMG.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, Sue gushed about Shinwoo, "Ang bait bait ni Shinwoo, tapos ang cute kasi nagpapaturo rin siya sa amin mag-Tagalog at anu-anong kalokohan ang tinuturo namin sa kaniya. So it was a very fun experience and we got to sing together." They also recorded a song that'll be part of the movie's soundtrack.
In another interview, Sue said, "Sobrang grateful ako... Ang daming naiinggit sa akin po dahil isang K-pop star ang aking ka-partner sa pelikulang ito, si Shinwoo ng Blanc 7. Bongga. Hindi ako magpapakabog kay Shinwoo... sa foundation." LOL!
