We know periods are a natural thing that happens to us, but that doesn't change the fact that it's never a pleasant week.   5. Pain reliever

    Sometimes, even a warm compress isn't enough to soothe the pain of cramps. When this happens, pop a paracetamol or ibuprofen. When it's too much to bear, however, consult with your OB-GYNE as it might be a symptom of something worse.

  6. Stain remover

    Sometimes, no matter how prepared you are, you'll still get an accidental tagos every once in a while—it's completely normal. Carry a stain remover with you so you can erase most of the splotches until you can change your underwear and bottoms. once you get home, wash your underwear with some Safeguard soap—a tried-and-tested product!

  7. A fresh supply of napkins

    We think we are all in agreement when we say that your period catching you by surprise is one of the worst things ever. To prevent any mishaps, keep a few napkins or tampons in your bag so that you're always prepared. Just make sure to replace your supply every once in a while to ensure that they're still sanitary and good for use.

  8. Spot treatment

    Acne on normal days? Bad. Breakouts during our period? The worst. As if we don't already have a lot going on in our body, our skin has to join the mix, too. Don't pick at them—even though we know you *really* want to—as they will only get worse and cause scarring which is twice as hard to remove. Just dab a spot treatment on the inflamed areas and keep your hands off.
