Cosmo Dare: Join Hot Celebs In An International Running Event

We dare you to get in shape like these fit and fab stars and prepare to run with them in a regional marathon that is sweeping Southeast Asia.

We're sure you've noticed, marathons of all kinds keep cropping up across Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Whether you're a seasoned pro when it comes to hitting the pavement or an occasional jogger who likes to get some fresh air, there's a race that's suited to your personality and needs.

If you've been putting off physical fitness for some time now, then here's a fun motivation to get you to join the running bandwagon: hot celebrities are joining Adidas "King Of The Road" Running Championship, in which you can also participate on October 23. You can  choose to run either 5km, 21km, or their signature 16.8km distance.

We spotted some of the celebs you'll be seeing at the marathon when Adidas officially launched the running event in The Establishment at The Fort. Hosted by Magic 89.9's Boys' Night Out DJ trio and Tessa Prieto-Valdes, the event heralded a regional running series that was kicked off in Thailand, and will continue in Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The Philippines will serve as the host country, with the championships to be held at Bonifacio Global City.

Some of the familiar faces we spotted at the launch include The Amazing Race Asia's Rich Hardin and Rich Herrera, Amanda Griffin, Christine Jacob, and renowned running coach Rio dela Cruz. Check out our gallery to see these celebs mix and mingle at the sports bash, as they help encourage you to get into a healthy lifestyle and competitive fitness.

If you want to join this fitness movement (and maybe run alongside some stars while you're at it), you can register at participating Adidas stores until August 31. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
