Fashionable Filipinas In Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk

Manila's most stylish regularly flock to this Makati shopping center for its great selection of stores and frequent fashion shows.
Ask any Pinay fashion maven where she usually shops, and you can be sure one of the malls sure to crop up is Greenbelt 5. Not only does this mall boast of international fashion houses that you can't find anywhere else in the country, they also boast of stores of local designers, showing just how greatly they support the Filipino fashion industry. Furthermore, it has a very prominent ramp that's a favorite venue for fashion shows by various brands.

One of the fashion shows that recently happened in Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk is in line with the Ayala Group of Companies' campaign called Bravo! Celebrating the Filipino. This is the second year that the Ayala Group put together this celebration of Filipinos and their culture. This time, they focused on the role of the Filipinas and their contribution to our society.

With Filipina, Bravo!, today's citizens get to witness a photo exhibit showcasing the well-known Filipinas of yesterday and a fashion show highlighting the local talents of today's renowned female fashion designers. Among the works featured were those of Filipina designers like Patis Tesoro, Criselda Lontok, Lulu Tan Gan, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Jeannie Goulbourn, Bonne Bouche's Michi Calica, Elena Bautista and Emi Jorge, Tippi Ocampo, Hindy Weber-Tantoco, Yvette and Choc Religioso, Arlene Sipat, Tweetie de Leon, Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Ana Rocha, and Jewelmer.

You can still catch the exhibit in Alabang Town Center up to July 1, TriNoma on July 2-15, Marquee in Pampanga on July 16-29, and in Ayala Center Cebu on August 7-21.

In the Greenbelt event, Cosmo caught sight of some stylish ladies among the crowd, and we approached them to ask about their fab outfits and what they think is the best thing about Filipinas. Click through to the Gallery below to see what they wore to the event.
