Get Fresh And Super Affordable Veggies While Helping Local Farmers At This Event

An event is making it possible for people to not just get access to fresh and affordable vegetables, but also to help support the livelihood of farmers from La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Veggie Drop-Off is a three-day event held at the Old Manila Eco Market in Rizal Park, Manila, which runs from February 28 to March 1. The sale offers over 4,000 kilos worth of fresh produce from the Mountain Province such as cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuce, among others.

Veggie-lovers are in for a treat as prices get as low as P25 per kilo. The Veggie Drop-Off on March 1 will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Make sure to bring reusable bags and containers and come early as stocks may be depleted quickly.

In January, Benguet farmers donated truckloads of vegetables to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption. They sent a whopping 3,000 kilos of veggies.
