Ahh, tacos—tortilla shells that are filled with meat, veggies, special sauce and whatever your food-loving heart desires. It’s such a versatile dish, no wonder it’s so well-loved by everyone!

If you’re craving for some, here are seven joints where you can get tacos that definitely won’t disappoint:

  1. Drive By Taco Shop

Location: BF Homes Parañaque, BF Homes Las Piñas, Eastwood Citywalk

If you hail from the south, you’ve probably heard of this small mexican food joint in BF Parañaque that serves the *best* Beef Sirloin Steak Taco (P120). It has—you guessed it—juicy beef sirloin steak pieces, held together by a thin corn tortilla, and topped with some onions, cilantro, avocado, and Drive By’s special seasoning.

  2. Taqueria 101

Location: Eastwood Citywalk 1, Quezon City

Not sure which filling you want? Head to Taqueria 101 because their wide selection will surely satisfy whatever you’re craving. Aside from the usual beef and chicken tacos, they also serve seafood fillings—such as Garlic Shrimp (P190), Smoked Salmon (P190), and Spicy Tuna (P170).

  3. Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew

Location: 16 East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City and O Square, Greenhills Shopping Centre

Fans of Filipino food will definitely love Tittos’ Fil-Mex take on the classic taco. Their Sisig Chicharrones (P150) is a soft taco that features a flavorful sisig filling, topped with onions, pimientos, cheese, and a quail egg. They’ve also added crushed chicharon for some added crunch. Yum!

  4. Lo de Alberto

Location: City Golf Plaza, Doña Julia Vargas Ave., Pasig

For P220, you can get three of Lo de Alberto’s delicious tacos. Order their Tres Amigo that features the Suadero, which has a slow-cooked beef brisket filling, the Carnitas, with its juicy pork strips, and the Pollo a la Pibil which has chicken filling that’s prepared using a traditional South Mexican-style of cooking.

  5. Chihuahua Mexican Grill

Location: Greenbelt 2, Makati and Crossroads Building, BGC

If you prefer a classic, no-frills taco, then make sure to try Chihuahua’s Beef Picadillo hard taco—it’s filled with flavorful ground beef that’s cooked with 11 herbs and spices. Plus, it’s sulit because you get three hard tacos for only P289.

  6. El Chupacabra

Location: 5782 Felipe Street, Poblacion, Makati City

A favorite among the drinking crowds of Poblacion, El Chupacabra’s street tacos come in different fillings and flavors. Whether you’re craving beef, pork, or seafood, you’ll definitely find something here. You can eat them as pulutan (since El Chupacabra serves great cocktails!) or as post-drink grub.

  7. Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina

Location: For a list of their branches, check their Facebook page.

The long lines in Silantro’s branches are concrete proof that their fil-mex food is well-loved by the Metro Manila crowd. Not to mention, their servings are kinda generous despite the affordable price.

For their Lucha Tacos, you can choose from five types of meat: lengua, lamb, beef, chicken, and carnitas and you would only have to shell out P85 for a single choice of meat, P105 for two types, and P125 for three.
