The Most Powerful Quotes We Heard At The Women Of Influence 2026 Recognition Dinner

Published on Mar 27, 2026
Some nights give you good photos. This one gave us lines we're still thinking about days later.
At the Cosmopolitan Philippines Women of Influence 2026 Recognition Dinner, it quickly became clear that the most memorable moments weren't just about who took the stage, but what they chose to say once they got there.
Held last March 24 at Quezon Club at Solaire Resort North, the evening brought together this year's nine awardees under one unifying theme: To Each Her Own—a celebration of individuality in its many forms. The night was made possible with Modess as co-presenter, with special thanks to Belo and Melissa, event styling by Moki Gray, and our official venue partner, Quezon Club at Solaire Resort North.
Women of Influence has always been about spotlighting Filipinas making an impact in their respective industries and advocacies—and this year's lineup delivered. Our 2026 awardees, including Bela Padilla, Hannah Pangilinan, Kara David, Jessica De Mesa-Lim, Rachelle Bravo, Dr. Rica Cruz, Cha Ocampo, Syd Hartha, and Steph Naval, each brought her own story, perspective, and purpose to the stage. The room was also filled with industry leaders, Cosmo Vibe Tribe content creators, and media partners, all there to celebrate and connect.

As each awardee stepped up to receive their recognition, they also shared a few words. Some made us laugh, some made us pause, and all of them proved that you can rewrite the rules of what success looks like. No two speeches felt the same, but all of them offered something worth holding onto.
Each quote served as a reminder that influence doesn't follow a single path. And hearing these women speak so honestly about their journeys made that message all the more real. My sensitive heart didn't stand a chance. TBH, it was very hard not to tear up (speaking from experience).
I'll leave you with some of the best quotes of the night—tell me you didn't feel all the feels reading them:
Bela Padilla
"For me, 'to each her own' means being considerate, to consider how a woman wants to be viewed, to allow a woman to come to terms with her situation—whatever that is—or to let a woman come out of molds that were never built for her."
Hannah Pangilinan
"The amount of influence or impact we have in the world is a direct correlation to the amount of humility that we can recognize—that we don't know everything—and I'm always on a journey, and I'm always in progress. I think that the reason why I'm able to continue doing what I do is because I recognize that I'm just a vessel."
Kara David
"Sabi nga ni Audre Lorde, isang feminist writer, 'I am not free until all women are free.' Babae man o lalaki, anuman ang kasarian, karapatan ng lahat ng tao na magkaroon ng boses sa lipunan. Hindi ako titigil, at hindi tayo dapat tumigil sa pagkukuwento."
Jessica De Mesa-Lim
"We're often expected to fit into systems that were never really designed for us, so we built these spaces—our sanctuaries—where young women come, even in groups, to get medical treatments, and they come back almost every month. That's what gets us there and helps us progress with our mission."

Rachelle Bravo
"The change begins within, in the posture of the heart, where you find calm, pure joy, and peace. I learned that you must build and work first. Stay consistent, stay faithful."
Dr. Rica Cruz
"You are a sexual being, and you can express your sexual self however you want to. That is not something to confess, that is not something to hide—that is just human, and that's what makes you a woman. We, as women, we are not the problem. The taboo is, and it's about time that we don't just break it—we smash it."
Cha Ocampo
"Sustainability here isn't just a concept; it's a responsibility. Because every conscious choice we make creates a ripple. And ripples don't stay small—they travel. So maybe none of us can change the entire world alone, but each of us can make ripples, and that can make a wave."
Syd Hartha
"Women have to work twice as hard just to be heard, just to be seen, and challenging pa rin siya until now. Pero what keeps me going isn't just my love for music, of course, but it's the belief that my voice matters. Our stories—the things that we believe in—they matter."
Steph Naval
"I think where strength is also found is [in] people who are able to bring awareness, have the courage to speak, and have the courage to bring to themselves to care for their mind. It's because your mind is the very foundation of who you are as a person, what you can build, and what you can become."

Women of Influence 2026 celebrated the voices that inspire, challenge, and move people forward. Each awardee showed us that there's no one way to lead, no single definition of success, and no limit to the ways a woman can make her mark. To each her own, indeed.
Just like you rn, we left the night with phones full of notes and our hearts a little fuller of inspiration and perspective.
