Social media has given us the perfect excuse to take and keep cute snapshots of our everyday lives. Whether it's your breakfast, an art installation, or wine night with your barkada, it always feels good to have your best memories documented. Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig has taken it up a notch by giving us loads of pretty places to have our mini-photo shoots in.
1. Sunnies Café
The popular eyewear brand opened its own little lifestyle cafe, serving drinks, full meals, and delicious desserts. The interior gives you laidback LA vibes with its muted pastel interiors. Perfect for brunch photos!
Sunnies Café is located at B3 Unit 748 Bonifacio High Street, BGC.
2. Farmacy Ice Cream And Soda Fountain
There is very little ice cream can't fix, and Farmacy makes some of the yummiest and prettiest medicine we've ever had. With marble counters and dark wood shelves and seats, the whole place gives off an old school feel. Whether it's relief from the Philippine summer, or a little treat after work, you'll find that this place has the perfect prescription.
Farmacy Ice Cream And Soda Fountain is located at Net Lima, 24th Street, BGC.
3. "The Heart Of God's Country" by Andrew Schoultz
Street art makes for great backdrops for photo shoots, and even to just take pictures of because accessible art is a great thing. This mural is displayed on a wall that is nearly 85 feet tall and is found on the side of the W Fifth building.
4. "Manpower" by Kris Abrigo
At 70 feet, the wall at Net One Center is the largest canvas Filipino artist Abrigo has ever painted on. The mural is a tribute to the local labor workers, the invisible heroes that have literally built the city and continue to make it work.
5. Unit 27 Apartment Bar + Café
This is a place that boasts of being an "all-day brunch café, all-night house party." The exposed brick, neon lights, and eye-catching colors of the interiors make it a cozy hideaway for friendly lunches when the sun is up, and a cool hangout to party and listen to live music at night.
Unit 27 Apartment Bar + Café is located at Icon Plaza Building, 26th Street Corner 7th Avenue, BGC.
6. Wildflour Café + Bakery
Known for its wide variety of delicious desserts, Wildflour also offers hearty meals, comfort food, and some pretty great coffee. The white painted exposed brick walls and worn wooden tables give the place a rustic feel.
Wildflour Café + Bakery is located at Netlima Building, 4th Avenue Corner 26th Street, BGC.
7. "Charlotte" by Nate Frizell
"Charlotte," one of the most popular murals around BGC, is located at Timezone in Bonifacio High Street. It's part of a series by Frizell. And we can't get enough.
8. "May You Find Comfort Here" by KFK Collective
Found on B1 in Bonifacio High Street, this is another very popular spot for photos, often appearing in many Instagram feeds—maybe it's the quote, or the flowers that pop against the black background. Whatever it is, this trio's artwork makes people stop and look.
9. Toby's Estate
A minimalist's dream, Toby's black and white interior is straight to the point. It keeps you focused on the important things: the delicious Buckys at the counter window and the incredible freshly ground coffee.
Toby’s Estate is located at EcoTower, 32nd St., 9th Ave., BGC.
10. Caravan Black Coffee
Right in the heart of BGC lies a little coffee shop with high ceilings, patterned floors, and slightly mismatched furniture. Caravan Black offers quality coffee, good food, and even beer, if you're feeling it.
Caravan Black Coffee is located at Net Park, 1634, 4th Ave, BGC.
11. "Between the Lines" by Cyrcle
Arguably one of the most eye-catching murals, this one features a realistic drawing of an astronaut weaving through bright colored lines. You'll find it on the wall of the Icon Plaza Building on Federacion Drive.
12. "We Are What We Pretend To Be" by Nate Frizell
Part of a series, these pieces were put up a year after "Charlotte." Frizell's works prove to be some of the most popular and most photographed, and at times, "interactive." These ones are found on R.O.X. and Fully Booked, both along Bonifacio High Street.
13. Single Origin
Staying true to its name, this coffee shop will only serve you the best quality beans. They also serve some epic dishes, like the Bacon on Mud, Maplewood-bacon with a Valrhona chocolate dip. The whole place has a subdued feel, making it a great place to have coffee breaks with your officemates, or wine nights with your girlfriends (every Tuesday and Thursday!).
Single Origin is located at the 2/F C3, Bonifacio High Street, 7th Ave., BGC.
14. Luna Specialty Coffee
Yes, we know, another coffee shop. Can you blame us, though? Coffee shops are cozy, and are perfect spots for chilling and taking pictures. Luna is no exception to this. It's not a café you instantly spot, as it's located at the side of a building. But once you visit, you'll never forget where it is.
Luna Specialty Coffee is located at the NAC Tower, 32nd Street, BGC.
15. "Calamansi and Sampaguita" by Francisco Diaz
This bright painting at the BGC Corporate Tower, made even brighter by its contrast to the black background, is homage to two iconic local plants that are steeped in ancient Filipino tradition and symbolism.
