These days, more and more places have been reopening their doors to tourists—Boracay, Baguio, and Ilocos Sur, to name a few. But the list is actually much longer than that: You can check the complete list of open tourism sites on the Department of Tourism (DOT) website.
ICYDK, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has given the DOT a SafeTravels Stamp; this is a stamp of approval given by the international organization to certify compliance with its global health standards. The DOT has also been closely following the safety protocols and series of precautionary measures set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH).
Recently, they launched a program to promote safe traveling around the Philippines: "Have a Safe Trip, Pinas".
While the focus may seem like it's on the couple, this video actually puts the spotlight on all the people whose livelihoods were restored once domestic travel resumed. Apart from providing a list of tourist sites you can visit, their website also has all the details about how hotels and other accommodations are expected to operate as well as a list of licensed COVID-19 testing laboratories.
