In a Twitter post, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced on March 6 that women may ride the LRT-2 for free during the peak hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
According to a report from GMA News, the LRT-2 will resume partial operations in its Santolan to Anonas stations by June 2020.
LRTA Administrator Reynaldo Berroya said that repairs are currently being made on the stations. As for the delay in the resumption of the train’s operations, he said that this is due to the timeframe in acquiring new electrifiers for the rail system.
