Pantone just revealed its 2020 Color of the Year: 19-4052 Classic Blue, “a timeless and enduring blue hue elegant in its simplicity.” The Pantone Color Institute said, “Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of Classic Blue offer the promise of protection, highlighting our desire for a dependable and stable foundation from which to build.”
Aiming to make the 2020 Color of the Year “a truly immersive color experience for all,” Pantone will “[tap] into sight, sound, smell, taste, and texture” to “reach a greater diversity of people.”
For over two decades, the Pantone Color of the Year has influenced trends in fashion, design, and other industries. Every year, the Pantone Color Institute analyzes trends and looks for new color influences in various industries to come up with the Color of the Year.
