It's official: Elisse Joson and McCoy De Leon finally confirmed their separation in a joint statement posted on Instagram on the evening of July 24, 2025.
Their breakup announcement came with a heartfelt video montage filled with candid snippets of their little family—Elisse, McCoy, and their daughter Felize—sharing sweet, everyday moments together. From playful laughs to quiet cuddles, the video served as a tender tribute to the love they once shared, even as they part ways.
It was exactly how Elisse pictured it. She wrote in the post, "My biggest dream in life has always been to build a family I could call mine. A home. That dream shaped us. It grounded us."
But sometimes, good things must come to an end. "But now, we're learning to let go.
Together, we're releasing that dream… so we can finally allow a new kind of peace, growth, and healing to enter. And letting go doesn't mean we failed. Because what we had was real. And it gave us the greatest gift—our Felize," the statement read.
Elisse and McCoy made it clear that their breakup announcement is not meant to address speculations but to honor their relationship. "We're sharing this to honor what was. To give space for healing.. for both of us and for the lives we're choosing from here on," they noted.
Before thanking everyone who supported them throughout their journey as a couple, they made a heartfelt request for compassion. "No need for speculations, no assumptions. This wasn't easy for either of us. We simply ask for kindness and respect as this story, and how it's remembered, may one day shape what our daughter believes about love, family, and letting go," they stated.

Elisse and McCoy's romance began after they forged a close friendship as Pinoy Big Brother housemates in 2016. In 2017, McCoy expressed his intention to court Elisse. They had a somewhat on-and-off relationship, even after becoming a family of three. As celebrities, their relationship was never hidden from public scrutiny. In the past, the Internet often speculated about the couple's plans for marriage—especially after they rekindled their romance in early 2023.
Throughout their journey, the two remained respectful and supportive of each other, whether it was about their careers or public perception. It's not hard to believe that Elisse and McCoy had so much to give to each other—something Elisse expressed openly in a heartfelt post for McCoy in June 2024.
In it, she expressed all the admirable things she saw in him. She began the post with, "Not everyone will understand," then went on to praise McCoy as both a partner and a father to Felize.
In that same post, she asked the public to ease up on the criticism toward McCoy, even admitting that she had made mistakes, too. She wrote, "Hindi nakikita ng lahat na sinasabayan mo 'ko sa lahat ng trip ko, na pinag-iisa mo ang ating dalawang mundo, na inaaral mo ako, na nag-a-adjust ka at nagbabago araw-araw, [...] na ako ay pinoprotektahan mo hanggang huli, na tayo nagkakamali, na ikaw ay nagkamali, na AKO ay nagkamali."
Elisse attached several photos of McCoy showing his candid, real self behind the celebrity glam. In the comments section, she also defended McCoy for allegedly "following" a lot of women, explaining that he was going through a difficult time.

The mom-actress continued in her post, "I'm sorry I put you through this. Heal. Don't put him in a category. Don't put him in a box. He's a person. Not any label or description u put him into. A person worthy of being known for himself as a whole. Not his past, not his mistakes, not whatever you see him as. McCoy just "mcCoy" A human being just like you. But for me and Felize, he is our strength. He is our family. He is what Felize has," Elisse declared in her post.
