Kyline Alcantara Opens Up About Quiet Healing After A Breakup In The Public Eye

Published on Jul 14, 2025
Heartbreak can bring out both the best and the worst in a person—but Kyline Alcantara says she chooses to respond with grace. Regardless of the controversies linking her to former relationships, the actress has opened up that she leans towards peace rather than public confrontation.
In a recent interview with entertainment journalist Nelson Canlas, Kyline finally broke her silence—but not to name names or stoke speculation. Instead, she delivered a powerful message: "I will never fight back publicly. And I will never speak up about whatever is happening in my life publicly—my private life, publicly."
"Because I do not owe the world my heartbreak. So, sa akin yun," she added.
For Kyline, the pain of a breakup is something she chooses to carry quietly, without seeking external validation. She finds strength in reflection, prayer, and facing her emotions privately.
"I do not need to prove myself to anyone," she said. "I do not need any validation galing sa kahit na kanino, especially the public. I know that I am a public figure, but I'm not the public's property."
Kyline also addressed the public's tendency to misjudge silence. Just because she chooses not to speak out doesn't mean she's unaffected—it simply means she's healing on her own terms!

Kyline has always carried this quiet confidence, even before the recent interview. She's previously opened up to Cosmopolitan Philippines during her April cover interview about the importance of protecting her peace—and it's something we can all learn from.
"Kahit anong sabihin niyo sa akin, it's okay as long as my intentions are clear. I know my truth. And I know that my truth is the truth. You may have your own side of the story, but my truth is the truth," she said in her cover interview with Cosmo.
"I really don't have to explain myself. You can say whatever you want about me as long as alam ni God, alam ng Panginoong Diyos kung ano talaga nasa puso ko. Kung ano talaga yung nangyari. I am comfortable with that. I can sleep peacefully at night with that. I can live with that," she added.
True enough, Kyline has learned to protect her peace by tuning out the noise and listening only to the voices that truly matter—especially when the outside world becomes too loud or overwhelming.

The most recent relationship tied to Kyline was with basketball player Kobe Paras. Their romance became public in November 2024 when Kobe confirmed they were dating. However, by mid-April, rumors of a breakup emerged after fans noticed Kyline had unfollowed Kobe on Instagram.
Shortly after, Kobe's mother, Jackie Forster, also spoke up about the breakup and stepped in to defend her son amid cheating allegations that surfaced.
While the situation may have looked messy to outsiders, Kyline's mindset remained clear and grounded. In the same interview, she shared that revenge was never something she considered. Instead, she chose to see the good in people—even those who caused her pain.
"Alam ko rin naman na kung sino man ang nakasakit sa akin, mahal rin naman siya ng ating Panginoong Diyos… Alam ko na mabuti siyang tao, as a person… Alam ko na may kabutihan siya sa puso niya. So, never po talaga [revenge]," Kyline explained.
"And again, si God na po bahala dun because He saw what I didn't see. He heard what I didn't hear. So, Siya na po yun. I'll just move on,” she concluded.
