Yen Santos is now ready to face the public. She's coming back to showbiz and even exploring the world of YouTube content creation. But before anything else, the actress is addressing issues, and opening up about her past relationship.

In her first-ever personal vlog, Yen revealed how controlling her past relationship was. Without mentioning names, she confirmed the end of a relationship that felt like a nightmare to her. "Napakalaking blessing na natapos na yun. Malaking blessing na nagising na ako sa nightmare na yun, and I walked away—kasi hindi talaga worth it," Yen said.

She added, "It wasn't worth wasting my time, my energy sa someone na kino-control ka, mina-manipulate ka. That kind of life drains you, and you lose yourself in the process."

Though Yen refrained from naming names, the public had previously linked her to actor Paolo Contis. The two were first rumored to be dating in 2021, until their romance was confirmed in 2023. By 2024, speculations of their breakup started circulating online, but Yen had kept mum about the issue.

Now, in her vlog, Yen's making a case for walking away from toxic relationships. "Minsan, the most powerful thing that you can do is walk away and set yourself free. Piliin mo yung sarili mo talaga," she stated.

She didn’t mention her ex-boyfriend by name in the vlog, nor did she speak about him directly—but she did offer a sincere apology to those who may have been hurt by her past choices in love. "Para po dun sa mga taong nasaktan ko nung mga panahon na yun—I am so sorry. Wala po akong excuse don. Mali po talaga ako. Nagkamali po ako," Yen said in the vlog.

"Kahit gaano ko jina-justify dati na okay naman kami. Masaya naman kami. Pero you know deep down, may mga taong nasaktan dun sa maling choices mo, and it was wrong. Ang mahalaga tapos na, and mas maayos yung takbo ng buhay ngayon," she furthered.

Yen also touches on the topic of love bombing, candidly sharing that it was part of her own experience. She begins sharing, "Sa una kasi hindi naman yan magpapakilala eh. The person I met in the beginning, that wasn't really him. The one I saw in the end, yun talaga siya."

"Isa sa natutunan ko na kapag ang isang tao, umpisa pa lang mahal ka na agad, big gestures agad yung ginagawa para sa'yo... Nung una akala ko nakakakilig yun eh, pero hindi. Red flag yun. Love bombing yun. Hindi love yun, part yun ng manipulation," Yen strongly noted.

By the end of the vlog, Yen thanks everyone who has remained supportive and helpful to her amid everything she's been through. Moreover, she declared her major comeback to showbiz. "Nakatapos na ako ng isang movie this year. Sobrang na-miss kong magtrabaho. Sobrang na-miss kong umarte," she expressed.
