Heart Evangelista has been giving her OOTDs a local twist. The fashionista usually completes her outfit with a luxury bag, but recently, she has been spotted sporting locally made handbags.
In an Instagram post on July 26, 2020, Heart expressed how amazed she was after witnessing local artisans of Sorsogon at work. She wrote, "I will never stop being awe-struck whenever I visit local artisans. They make all these beautiful handicrafts like it's simple when really, it's such an intricate process that requires a lot of skill. Will forever appreciate the work that goes into creating these."
In her photo, Heart is seen wearing a heart-shaped wicker bag called the "Pag-ibig Tote." The bag is designed by Zarah Juan, who is also known for tapping weavers and artisans around the country—from Bulacan to Cavite, and even Zamboanga—to help her bring her creations to life.
In a separate post on July 14, Heart also featured the designer's "Aratilez" bucket bag on her OOTD. According to the brand's official website, the pouches and bags are priced between P875 to P12,000.
Aside from these, Heart was spotted wearing an abaca bag. The actress, however, was not able to tag or mention where she got it from.
The actress was also amazed bya bag made with Pili nutshells. She did not mention where she got the bag, but it has appeared on her Instagram feed multiple times. Pili is a nut indigenous to Bicol.
We also noticed the gold chain bracelet Heart has been wearing in almost all of her recent OOTD posts on Instagram. She even wore it when she took a dip in one of the pristine beaches of Sorsogon.
It's called the Tiffany HardWear Link Bracelet by the American luxury accessories brand Tiffany & Co. The medium-sized bracelet made with 18k gold is priced at $7,000 or around P343,927.50.
