Fall/Winter Trend Alert: Nudes & Neutrals, Oriental Opulence, Alluring Androgyny

One of your fave fashion brands showcased the looks that are hot this chilly season in a themed runway show. Make this gallery your lookbook for fabrics, colors, and prints you should be caught in.

The rainy season can be a drag, but there's one thing to look forward to as we approach the end of the year: fall/winter a.k.a. holiday fashion! Sure, we enjoy wearing shorts and sundresses in our tropical climate, but it's nice to switch up our style every now and then and try out trends that hail from cooler countries.

Spanish retailer Mango recently showed us the kinds of looks you should aim for this holiday season when they launched their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection at Newport Plaza, Resorts World. The fashion show featured five style themes, each assigned to a different stylist. The stylists used pieces from the current collection, which you can now find in stores, to create trendy ensembles to guide you in updating your wardrobe.

The first theme, "Modern Mystique," showcased work-appropriate, warm weather staples like trench coats and blazers paired with shorts and skirts to suit our more humid climate. The "Alluring Androgyny" segment focused on tailored black items with leather and lace accessories.

Meanwhile, "Nudes and Neutrals" by Myrrh Lao To (who does fashion editorials for Cosmo) revolved around the basic palette with feminine details like lace and silk. "Glamorous Getaway" featured a bold mix of animal prints that jet-setters would love. The final segment, "Oriental Opulence" by Preview Magazine's Anna Canlas, featured glam pieces in vibrant colors that will make you stand out at a dinner party.

We spotted local fashionistas admiring the Mango collection among the audience, like event host Bianca Valerio, blogger Laureen Uy, model/DJ Ornusa Cadness, and more.

Launch the gallery to see how to mix and match pieces for your Fall/Winter wardrobe this holiday season. Tell us when you comment which look or trend is your fave!
