Off The Fashion Week Ramp: Festive Holiday Trends You Can Wear

Get MORE holiday fashion inspirations from more designers at Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010.

Glitters, sequins, lace, drapes, sheer fabrics, leather, ruching, ruffles, appliques, rosettes--there are just so many ways to stand out and look glamorously festive this holiday season, depending on your mood and personal style. Since it's Fashion Month here in Cosmo and, incidentally, just a few weeks (make that days!) 'til the Christmas party invites start to pile up, we're giving you a plethora of holiday dressing ideas, fresh from the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010 runway's Luxe Wear B Collection. There's definitely something for everyone where holiday trends are concerned.

Office Party Headturner

We spotted power-dressing pieces you can use on day-to-night occasions (meeting during the day, party at night), in androgynous and powerful (yet still sexy!) designs by Julius Tarog and Jaz Cerezo.

LBD-
loving chicks can give the classic fashion staple a little more oomph with bold shoulders or asymmetrical cuts, embellished with sequins, lace, feathers rosettes, glitters, ruffles, or embellishments, just like the creations of Catherine Cavilte and Roland Lirio. Feel like doing a good-girl-gone-bad number? Leather LBDs never fail to bring out anyone's inner femme fatale. For this, Jaz Cerezo's designs will surely do the trick.

Daring Date

Feel like going flirty, sexy, and girly a la Paris Hilton? Then Nikki Sunico's pieces in glittery pink, black, and silver would be perfect. Or, perhaps, you can also try out flowy, sheer, delicate fabrics and paisley prints, like in Ramon Favila's collection, to instantly charm your holiday Romeo.

You can also channel prohibition era decadence (and all that jazz!) with frilly flapper dresses--check out the Edgar San Diego collection. For daring vixens, Jontie Martinez's red and black collection can let your sultry side shine through.

Cool hues like blue and silver are also good for romantic yet laid-back date nights, like in Santi Obcena's flowy evening gowns.

Barkada And Family Reunion Charmer

For a relaxed, cool, vibe, take your pick from Kat Corpus' pieces in cobalt blue, gunmetal silver, and black. Nudes are also a big hit in the runways, like the flowy evening dresses of Jona Ballaran, or the structured pieces of Richard Papa.

On the other hand, if you'd like to play around with colors and textures, check out Edwin Uy's dazzling hologram-inspired collection to make a statement, or Delby Bragais' and Maricar Kobayashi's cocktail dresses and evening gowns that come with ruching, ruffles, and rosettes in jewel tones, earth tones, and pastels.
