Oh, high heels. While strutting in them can make you look and feel sexy AF, the consequences of wearing your favorite 4-inch stilettos on a night out are anything but sexy.
So what if we told you that there is a way figure out your ideal high heel height so you won’t have to worry about having to go through another tiis ganda day again?
According to an article published in the Daily Mail, everyone—including men—has their own ideal heel height, depending on their feet’s structure. This means that because of their feet’s natural arch, there are women who really are more comfortable with wearing high heels than ballet flats and vice versa.
The author, podiatrist Emma Supple, also showed her own way of measuring ideal high heel height. (You can check it out here.)
However, we also discovered this blog entry from Alternations Needed, where the author devised her own way to measure ideal high heel height based on Doctor Supple’s system. Here’s how:
1. Sit on a chair and stretch one leg out. Let your foot and ankle relax.
2. With a measuring tape or ruler, measure the distance between where the ball of the foot bends and your heel. You might want to ask help from someone else to do this, because it’s pretty impossible to it yourself.
3. Whatever measurement you got is your ideal high heel height.
