They say that exes shouldn't be invited to weddings. However, that wasn't the case for Pinay bride Melony "Mae" Pineda-Rivera. Her ex-boyfriend, Ericson Pascual, was present during her big day. What's more, he happened to be her makeup artist, too!
On TikTok, Ericson posted a now-viral video of him doing Mae's bridal makeup, which currently has over six million views. "Sabi ko noon kapag kinasal tayo gusto ko ikaw yung pinaka-maganda," he said.
"Hindi ako naging groom mo," the makeup artist-content creator pointed out. "Ako ang makeup artist mo."
According to Ericson, his makeup service was his "gift" to the bride. "Wala pa kong pang regalo that time nung naging tayo," he recalled. "Kaya sabi ko this time, this is my gift for you na ako ang maging makeup artist mo."
Genuinely happy for his ex-girlfriend, he wrote: "I [was] your first and even [if] I'm not your last, I'm happy for you kasi I know na nasa tamang tao ka."
Netizens were *touched* by Ericson's story, praising the two for remaining friends even after their breakup. "Ang healthy. Sana ganito mga ex masaya para sa ikasasaya ng ex [nila]," one follower wrote. "There are just really people na pinag-tagpo pero hindi tinadhana," another one commented.
