Following the success of his internet-breaking Conspiracy palette with Jeffree Star, Shane Dawson has announced that he is starting a whole new YouTube channel, and it's going to be entirely dedicated to beauty.
Yep, just when you thought makeup tutorials were so 2009, Shane is about to resurrect them back from the dead with his new "Shane Glossin''' channel.
As well as playing around with makeup, Shane revealed that he might also post some deleted scenes from his The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star series, along with some slime videos for good measure.
Basically, it sounds like if you miss Shane's Spooky Boys and food videos, this new channel is where you might find them again. Here's hoping for some Drew and Garrett appearances, too.
Don't just take our word for it though, here's what Shane said we can expect from his new venture:
"Hey guys! I know makeup related videos aren’t for everyone so I started a channel for that kinda stuff if you're interested! I thought it might be fun to have a place where I could make random videos where I have fun with makeup and it could just be a more low key creative outlet for me.
"I also might post some deleted scenes from the last series on there too. Or also slime videos?? haha I dunno, just random stuff that I might make at 3am during editing breaks. But no pressure to subscribe cause I’m not sure when I’ll be posting on there but I wanted to let you know cause I saw a fake channel out there and I didn’t want to confuse people."
"Don’t worry, I’m not trying to be a guru or anything! I just thought it could be a fun hobby and cool to have a low pressure place to post stuff like that. :)) hope ur having a good new year and I’ll see u guys soon!!!"
Shane made the announcement after one Twitter user accused him of feigning interest in makeup purely to launch an eyeshadow palette with Jeffree.
User @OhMyGodExposeU wrote : "Shane Dawson sold us this lie that he was "into makeup now" and "a beauty guru" to get his palette to sell, but I don't think I have seen a SINGLE makeup look from him since his palette sold out just sayin"
To which Shane responded: "I play with makeup almost daily. I just don’t post about it because I’m not in the mood to post. After a series I tend to gain weight, spiral, and hibernate for a couple months. Currently in that phase. Haha"
"And I rarely respond to stuff like this but I did because I understand that it may look like I don’t care anymore cause I don’t post but I promise my passion for it hasn’t died. It’s one of the only things that makes me happy and calm. I bring my brushes everywhere I go."
I, for one, have already hit that subscribe button.
