Demi Lovato decided to get a fresh new tattoo sometime yesterday, and she chose a powerful word to pack the punch.

Demi, like a total badass, got a simple, scripted tattoo on her neck, and honestly, it looks stunning on her. Doctor Woo, who recently gave Justin Bieber his "forever" neck tattoo, inked writing on Demi’s neck that says one word: "survivor."

Anyone who is familiar with Demi knows that this tattoo is likely a reference to her past struggles with drug addiction and eating disorders. Now that she’s feeling better, Demi has talked about trying be the strongest version of herself that she can possibly be.

"What I see in the mirror [is] someone that’s overcome a lot. I’ve been through a lot and I genuinely see a fighter," Demi said at last month’s Teen Vogue Summit. "I don’t see a championship winner, but I see a fighter and someone who is going to continue to fight no matter what is thrown their way."

The last tattoo Demi got was of a simple "T" on the inside of her arm in honor of her close friend, Thomas Trussell III, who passed away from a drug overdose in October. "A T for Tommy.
