**Trigger warning: Physical abuse**
While the incident happened several months ago, it looks like Ana is on her path to healing and forgiveness. In a tweet from ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe on June 8, Ana was asked about her moving-on process from Kit and she said, "Napatawad ko na siya."
MJ also added that Ana will be receiving an award for the category of "Most Empowered Celebrity" at the upcoming Asia's Golden Icons Awards slated on June 28.
In a separate report, Ana said that she's ready to start fresh. The actress said, "Wala naman po akong galit. Ni-let go and let God ko na po 'yun. Gusto ko na rin po mag-start para sa sarili ko. Hindi rin po makakatulong sa akin kung may galit ako sa puso ko. Alam ko po may mapupuntahan na maayos ang lahat."
"I learned kasi to choose na magpatawad kasi 'yun naman yung tamang paraan para maka-move on, para maumpisahan yung bagong buhay na gusto ko," Ana added.
Forgiveness aside, Ana also said that she will still proceed to press charges against Kit, which was first reported in March. Ana's lawyer, Faye Singson said, "Actually, we are preparing to press charges to the fullest extent of the law. The savage and barbaric acts of the respondent should not be condoned."
Meanwhile, in the wake of the controversy, it was reported that Kit's role in Ang Babae Sa Likod Ng Facemask went to Joseph Marco, while the actor's name has also been removed from the cast of the upcoming series Flower of Evil.
